Forklift Counterbalance

The counterbalance fork lift truck is probably the most common type of fork lift in use today and is the workhorse of materials handling operations. Purple Training Solutions based in Yeovil, Somerset are pleased to offer either in house certificated or NPORS accredited courses over the range of counterbalance fork lift training from novice to experienced. ITSSAR accreditation and others are available.

The courses can range from a one day refresher course and test to up to five days for a novice based on previous experience. The duration also depends on how many delegates are on the course.

Every course is based on theory delivered in a training room and assessment followed by practical operator training and assessment which will comply with the standard laid down in accordance with the HSE code of practice L117.

Who should attend

Course location

Dependant on course undertaken – it is recommended that novice training takes place off the job, this can be done at our accredited training centre at Ilchester, whilst one day refresher courses may take place in the normal working environment provided an area is set aside for the sole use of the delegates on the course and a suitable room with heat, light and power with tables and chairs is also available for the theory section.

Upcoming courses and cost

We offer this course throughout the year and operate a flexible diary based on demand. For details of our next course and cost please fill out this brief enquiry form and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Maximum number of delegates on any course is three.

NPORS strongly recommend that every delegate has or takes within the previous two years the CITB Health Safety & Environmental Test which will be noted on the photo ID card.
